Iām Brittany (she/her) a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 9 years of experience working with Women and LGBTQIA+ folks in private practice. I specialize in working with people 16 and older around major life transitions, trauma, and relationship challenges. I have an extensive background in working with survivors of sexual and domestic violence as well as human trafficking. Often people come to me when they feel stuck and unsure of where to go next. I am an insight oriented therapist where we understand that experiences and stories of the past can impact the present. I use a mix of approaches including Somatic EMDR, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. I believe that healing comes from a place of safety, understanding, and self-compassion. Together, we will work towards uncovering the root causes of your struggles, developing effective coping strategies, embracing joy, and empowering you to create lasting change in your life.
In my practice I strive to be trauma-informed and recognize the impact of systemic oppression, so I work from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive lens, ensuring that everyone feels heard, respected, and valued.I am also fully abortion-affirming and committed to supporting you through all decisions related to reproductive health in a non-judgmental and empowering manner.
I have 9 years of experience writing letters for Gender Affirming Surgery and am versed in the WPATH standards of care. I am committed to low barrier access to letters of support.
