Jesse (he/him) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). He earned his Master of Social Work degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook and is a Rostered Psychotherapist in the State of Vermont. He has worked with adults struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, and co-occurring disorders in the greater New York City metropolitan area, and he has supported families and children in crisis throughout Chittenden County.
Using an integrative person-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach, Jesse creates a safe, judgment-free, and encouraging environment that allows his clients to begin the process of self-healing. He incorporates laughter and lightheartedness in his approach, as well as his genuine desire to support and advocate for each client’s needs, which forms a therapeutic relationship that is built upon trust and respect.
Jesse recognizes that asking for help can be one of the more difficult challenges a person may face, and through thoughtful conversation, he encourages his clients to see that overcoming this hurdle is what builds resiliency and allows healing and growth to begin. Through the collaborative work of talk therapy, Jesse helps clients to understand their own lives from a framework that incorporates Mindfulness, EMDR, CBT, and Narrative Therapy interventions, resulting in clients developing greater agency, self-awareness, and self-efficacy.
When he’s not meeting with clients, Jesse is usually running, biking, or exploring the woods of Vermont.
Jesse meets with folks out of the Waterfront office.
Jesse currently accepts Medicaid, BCBS, Cigna, UHC and MVP insurance.
